The Prudhoe Gleemen were formed in 1903 and celebrated their Centenary Year by holding several special events.  As lasting mementoes the Choir was able to produce a commemorative wall-hanging, a video, booklet and a CD ROM.  These were all made possible thanks to a generous grant from the Local Heritage Initiative.

The CD ROM brings together in one coherent form the history of the Choir over its first 100 years.  Material has been patiently gathered and collated by the Choir's official historian, Frank Littlewood, and the vast collection of paper has now been transferred to CD ROM by another of our members, Jim Walker.  All of our Archives including programmes, photographs, press cuttings and more are now available to a much wider audience.  Needless to say, it has been impossible to discover and obtain every piece of memorabilia that might have existed.  If anyone viewing the Archives has, or knows of, any other documents relating to the Choir I would be grateful if they could contact the secretary, Neville Fairbairn, on 01661 832162

We in the Choir hope that the sharing of this brief glimpse of our history will convey some of the happy memories all of our members have of the Choir and help us to move on into the next 100 years together.
